Lisa Bush
Pastor Eli Bush was installed as TGP's Senior Pastor on October 29, 2006. He ministered faithfully for three years at TGP as the Associate Pastor, but has served the Lord in ministry since 1995. Pastor Eli has always been an essential part of TGP, serving in a variety of ministries, such as usher, greeter, men's ministry leader, youth pastor, and deacon of the church property.
Pastor Lisa has also been most instrumental in establishing and maintaining several ministries within TGP. She has also served the church as an Assisting Minister for three years prior to being installed as co-pastor alongside her husband Eli, and has ministered for the Lord since 1992. She has served TGP Faithfully as Women's Ministry Director and President of Marion Aglow.
Pastor Eli was born in Lima and lived in Marion most of his life. He received a Bachelor's degree in business from Wittenberg University and is a diligent studier of the Bible. He married Lisa in 1996, and they now serve together faithfully in ministry.
Pastor Lisa was born and raised in Marion, Ohio. She graduated from Rhema Correspondence Bible College in 2002, (Kenneth Hagin), Breakthrough Biblical Counseling (Breakthrough Reconciliation Ministries) in 2005, completed the School of Prophets in 2002 (Eagle Christian College), and School of Prophetic Prayer in 2006 (Eagle Christian College).
Pastors Eli and Lisa have two beautiful daughters, Hannah (Left) and Eliana (Right).
Pastors Eli and Lisa's heart is to see people live in the freedom that Jesus has provided. Their desire is to see others fulfill their God-given destiny.
After Lisa rededicated her life to Jesus at 19 years of age. She later prayed and interceded for Eli's salvation, and the Lord answered her prayer. Eli came to receive Jesus as his Savior, and then they eventually married. Both felt the call of God on their lives immediately and started serving in ministry through their local church. God has lead them and provided opportunities as they have faithfully and selflessly served Him. Through obedience to the call of God, they now serve as Senior Pastors at TGP.
Assisting Ministers at TGP
Pastor Michael P. Zembower, Sr. and Sharyn Zembower
Pastor mike currently serves as an Assisting Minister at TGP and has ministered as a pastor since 1997. Pastor Mike has sacrificed much for the fellowship over his time at TGP. He has served honorably in the office of helps. He has spent countless hours building the interior of our beautiful facility. Additionally, Pastor Mike has helped maintain the facility from cleaning to maintaining building and environmental equipment. Currently, he reaches out to college students. He says, "I like to leave an “open door” for the college students so that they have a safe place to come with their problems and trials." Pastor Mike has faithfully served the Lord through other ministries, such as leading home cell groups and divorce recovery ministry (essential in today's society). Moreover, Pastor Mike has initiated a church plant. This is an opportunity where a minister within the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel literally begins a church from the ground up. Pastor Mike also has led men’s ministry and has a burning desire to see men come into the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Pastor Mike and Sharyn have been married for nearly 13 wonderful years, and they have several fantastic children: Michael Jr. (24), James (21), Michelle (20), Mackenzie (11), Larry (7) and granddaughter Kalysta (4). Pastor Mike also says, "I love and like my wife who is my very best friend, I love being a dad and I enjoy being involved with the students in my work."
Pastor Mike has a dramatic testimony that he wishes to share. He exclaims, "16 years ago, I had no need for God--so I thought. He sought me, bought me, redeemed me, restored me and is renewing me everyday. He has set me free, gave me joy and a peace that passes all understanding."
"He healed a hole in my eardrum that the doctor said would have to be restored by surgery. He removed a ganglion cyst from the back of my hand that the doctor said I would have to live with the rest of my life. After receiving second degree burns over my face, shoulder and hands He delivered me from all the pain associated with these types of burns throughout the healing process. He gave my son a mouth full of teeth when the dentist after x-raying his mouth said he was missing many of his permanent teeth." God is so good.
Jerry and Pastor Betty Yancey
Pastor Betty oversees the TGP women's ministry, Women of Grace, and also oversees the children and youth programs. Pastor Betty has been in ministry on and off for about 35 to 40 years, and has headed up the WOG since late 2004.
The purpose of WOG ministry is to train up women for leadership and help them to develop the gifts that God has placed within them. It is a safe place to learn and grow in the Lord. It develops a relationship between the women so that they have an intimate support system, and it is also a place to learn and not be afraid of making a mistake.
Pastor Betty is married to her husband Jerry. Jerry is very gifted in the helps ministry, and also serves the church as an usher and greeter. He faithfully helps maintain the facility and loves to serve in any way he can. Jerry has a super personality and always makes everyone feel at home. Jerry and Pastor Betty have one son, Scott, his wife Tina and son Hunter who reside in Marion. They also have three grown daughters: Kara, husband Kevin and son Kadin who live in Carrabelle, FL. Kara and Kevin pastor a Church of God. Their daughter Lori, husband Brian and son Trey live in Rock Hill, SC. Their daughter Kathy lives in Charlotte , NC. Jerry and Betty have a dog named Barney, a spunky Yorkshire Terrier, and a black cat.
