Do you know Him?

GOD'S PERFECT SALVATIONGod loves all people. It doesn’t matter where you come from or what you’ve done—He still loves you. However, that’s not to say that He loves all the things that people do. The Bible declares to us that He hates sin. In the Bible, God says, “I will punish their sin with the rod, their iniquity with flogging; but I will not take my love from him, nor will I ever betray my faithfulness. I will not violate my covenant or alter what my lips have uttered” (Psalm 89:32-34 NIV). In this passage, God clearly states his intent. He wants to rescue everyone from the bonds of sin so that they can be free, and He does not have to punish them. God is a just god. He must punish for sin, but how fantastic is it that he must save those that turn away from sin? That is exactly what he desires to do! God loves you and desires that you experience joy, peace, and the abundant life. This life is in God's only begotten son, Jesus Christ our Lord! The Bible Says.... John 3:16 John 11:25,26 John 10:10 What keeps most people from experiencing the joy, peace, and the abundant life that God has planned for them? Recognizing MAN'S PROBLEM - SEPERATION FROM GOD. God created man in HIS own image and made him a free mortal agent. God doesn’t want robots worshiping him, but gave us all a freedom of choice. Adam and Eve made the choice to disobey God, and so the rest of mankind from that time on has had to endure their sin and the sin of those before them. Man's rebellion against God is simply called sin. Therefore, man is a sinner by choice, and must either stay in sin or choose a better way. |

Sin separates mankind from God. God will not abide where sin resides. Sin is like a great canyon that separates God from those who choose not to accept God into their lives. Many walk away from God because they feel that it is impossible to cross over this great canyon of sin to God, that it is a hard way, or that life is just fine on the side of sin. However, what they don’t realize is that the flames of hell are burning quickly behind them, and that there is no way out—or is there? Will the flames reach the edge of the cliff and consume me, or is there another way? Well, don’t stop reading now! The Bible Says... Romans 3:23 Romans 6:23 |

Since the beginning, man has tried to bridge this gap and become holy on his own without success. No matter what we want to dream up or attempt to conceive on our own, we cannot attain any righteousness apart from God. Our own self-righteous bridge will always collapse. Without His righteousness in our lives, there is no possible way to escape death. Good works, religion, philosophies, and even morality cannot bridge the gap caused by sin. God knew from the beginning of man’s fall into sin that He and he alone had to provide a way out. Someone had to pay the price for all of man’s sin. But who could do that? As it is written: "There is no-one righteous, not even one” (Romans 3:10 NIV). That is, no mortal man can atone the sins of mankind. We couldn’t even die for our own sins. Therefore, only God can do this seemingly impossible task. But how? Are we not back to crossing the canyon of sin? God chose to send is son to this world, where by His Holy Spirit conceived him in the womb of Mary, a simple human. Jesus was born—the first sinless man since Adam—the only one worthy of dieing for the sins of mankind. There is only one Solution to this problem of separation. The Bible Says... Romans 5:8 John 14:6 Ephesians 2:8,9 |

Jesus’ death on a cross provides atonement for the sins of mankind once and for all. But… There is always “a but”. |

There is only one way to achieve eternal life and that is by God himself (specifically, through His son, Jesus Christ). Everyone must turn to Him in order to receive eternal life. Mankind requires a connector—a bridge of sufficient strength to allow mankind to get to God’s side and be across the problem of sin once and for all. The bridge has a name—Jesus, who is the Christ. Only God’s son Jesus could take on the entire sin of all mankind—past and present—to reunite us with the love that God so eagerly wants to demonstrate to all. God has provided in Jesus Christ the ONLY way of salvation. Man must make the choice to receive God's solution. We all must trust in THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and receive him into our hearts—personally. That is something that no on can do for us. It can’t come via a church, a religion, our parents or family, and we are not born into it. We can’t be summoned from the dead up to heaven by our loved ones or prayed out of Purgatory. "Dead" is the deadline. We have to ask Jesus to save us for ourselves. The Bible Says... Revelation 3:20 John 1:12 Romans 10:13 Is there any good reason why you should not receive Jesus Christ as your own personal Lord and Savior? |

What you must do! 1. Admit your need (I am a Sinner) Now you have a choice to make. Fortunately, you will never again be able to answer, “I didn’t know.” The choice is to pray the prayer below—or not. Either way, you have made a choice today. “Jesus, forgive me for my sins. I believe that you died on a cross because I could not do it for myself, and that only you could do this for me. I thank you that you love me that much, and I ask you to help me love you in the same way. I turn my back on sin and all that I know to be sinful, and I accept your fantastic plan for my life. Now place your Holy Spirit within me, so that I can have the power and the strength to live a great life for you. Thank you Jesus that you found me just in time. Now I am yours. Amen.” Romans 10 verse 9 says, “…if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (NIV). Congratulations! This is what you just did, and this is why: “For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” (Romans 10:10 NIV).
Please let us know about the decision you just made by phone or email. We will not pressure you to come to The Gathering Place. However, we simply want to rejoice with you and to have the opportunity to answer any questions that you may have about God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, or God’s principles in general. |
